In days to come,
The mountain of the LORD’s house
shall be established as the highest mountain
and raised above the hills.
All nations shall stream toward it;
many peoples shall come and say:
“Come, let us climb the LORD’s mountain,
to the house of the God of Jacob,
That he may instruct us in his ways,
and we may walk in his paths.”
Isaiah 2: 2-3

I rejoiced when they said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the LORD.”
And now our feet are standing
within your gates, Jerusalem.
Psalm 122:

As we prayerfully begin the holy season of
Advent we truly are on a journey to a grace-filled place, a life-changing
encounter with God. It is a time to
watch ever more closely for the coming of Jesus: the many times during a day that we are
consciously aware of His being present to us.
How can we more closely unite our heart to His so that we are always
aware that He is with us? What walls might
we have built which need to be surmounted?
What earthly distractions might blind us to the radiance of Christ’s
love and peace?
Let us pray for and encourage each other as
we climb the Lord’s holy mountain so that we may rejoice in the presence of our
loving God.
Blessed Advent!
